Thermal endurance

The glass should not be subjected to temperatures in excess of 300 deg. C. If the glass is to be subject to thermal shock then 180 deg C should not be exceeded.

Colour

Most non-metallic colours are available in gloss or matt finishes. Some transparent colours and a range of metallic colours are also available.

Storage recommendations

Glasses should be stored on their edge and kept dry. Ideally they should be placed on wooden strips or a soft material. Special care should be taken to protect the edges of the glass.

Assembly recommendations

The method of holding the glass should ensure that the glass is not subjected to any unnecessary stress over the whole range of temperatures to which it will be subjected.

It is advisable to avoid contact with hard materials. If this is not possible the material must be flat and free from burrs. The edges and walls of any holes drilled in the glass must be protected from screw threads.
