Toughened glass can be cut into any shape required, precision drilled and screen printed, making it a truly versatile component, subject to the following specifications:
Tolerances
Length +/- 1mm
Width +/- 1mm
Distance between holes or hole and glass edge
A minimum of twice the glass thickness
Coefficient of linear thermal expansion
76 t0 80 x 10-7 per deg C
Size range
From 200mm x 75mm to 2500mm x 1500mm.
Thickness
We can toughen all available thickness between 4mm and 15mm.

Thermal endurance
The glass should not be subjected to temperatures in excess of 300 deg. C. If the glass is to be subject to thermal shock then 180 deg C should not be exceeded.
Colour
Most non-metallic colours are available in gloss or matt finishes. Some transparent colours and a range of metallic colours are also available.
Storage recommendations
Glasses should be stored on their edge and kept dry. Ideally they should be placed on wooden strips or a soft material. Special care should be taken to protect the edges of the glass.
Assembly recommendations
The method of holding the glass should ensure that the glass is not subjected to any unnecessary stress over the whole range of temperatures to which it will be subjected.
It is advisable to avoid contact with hard materials. If this is not possible the material must be flat and free from burrs. The edges and walls of any holes drilled in the glass must be protected from screw threads.
